Monster from the Ocean Floor was actually Corman's first time as a producer and to make this instant classic he assembled a team of other first timers: screenwriter William Danch, director Wyott Ordung, and actor Stuart Wade. Jonathan Haze also made his screen debut as the abalone diver.
